Buhari may arrive on Saturday. He was in good spirit - Saraki

Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, the Senate President has also confirmed that President Muhammadu Buhari is healthy and in high spirits.

Saraki tweeted this @bukolasaraki giving the confirmation said that he spoke with the President on Wednesday night and that President Buhari was in high spirit. “Happy to have spoken with President
Buhari tonight tonight. He was in good spirits and joked about my working late into the night, as usual.”

The Leadership newspaper spoke with a source on Thursday, a senior official in the presidency, who spoke in confidence and quoted him by saying. “Barring any last minute change, we are expecting the president back this weekend, probably on Saturday.”

Is Dr. Saraki trying to inform the citizens that the President is hale and hearty? Time will tell.

Recall that the President’s only surviving elder sister, Hajiya Rakiya, in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria NAN, appealed to Nigerians to continue to pray for the health of the President, instead of spreading rumours about his health.

The 84-year-old woman said, President Buhari being a mortal is bound to fall ill or even die “at any time his Creator wishes’’.

She claimed she speaks with the president every day since he started his vacation in London and he is in high spirit.

“I just returned from the lesser Hajj and even while in Saudi Arabia I was communicating with him every day,” according to her, they communicates every 10hours.

“We were 28 from our mother late Hajiya Zulaihatu who died in 1992, but Buhari was her last born” she said.
