The special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on media and publicity, Femi Adesina said that the president has a right to his vacation and will not speak to Nigerians. Femi Adesina stated this on a show on TVC today, February 16, 2017.
Recall that the recent notice of extension of vacation sent to the upper chamber by the President caused so many tongues to wag in the country with many speculation about his state of health.
Also, recently, the Senate president, Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of the House, Yakubu Dogara were the latest people to visit the President in London though many have admonished President
Buhari to speak with Nigerians in order to dismiss every form of rumour about his state of health.
Adesina said: “It is a matter of opinion and that those who say are welcome to their opinion as there are some people who don’t want to believe the word of other people and no matter what you say or do you have not done it well hence you leave them to their opinion.”
“If Buhari will speak to Nigerians it will be his choice his prerogative we don’t need to intrude what some people want to do is to ram it dawn his throat willy willy it is a point of principle that Buhari is not speaking to Nigerians.”
