North Korea bans Malaysians from leaving the country over the murder of the North Korea's half brother, King Jong-nam.

According to the Korea Central News Agency, run by the state, the North Korea's foreign ministry has placed a temporary ban on Malaysians leaving the country, so as to ensure the safety of citizens of Malaysia and its own diplomats. This was due to the killing of King Jong -nam, who was the half brother of Kim Jong Un, the North Korean leader.

The news agency qouted the foreign ministry saying: "All Malaysian citizens in the DPRK will be temporarily prohibited from leaving the country until the incident that happened in Malaysia is properly solved.

"In this period the diplomats and citizens of Malaysia may work and live normally under the same conditions and circumstances as before."

King Jong-nam, was killed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on February 13 by assassins using VX nerve agent, a chemical in a list released by the United Nations as a weapon of mass destruction.

According to a Police, about eight North Koreans have been declared wanted in relation with the murder, which includes a senior North Korean diplomat and a state airline employee. The last two are believed to be keeping their heads in the embassy.

Only two people have been arrested so far are an Indonesian woman and a Vietnamese woman.
