| Luise Enrique and Arsene Wenger |
Arsene Wenger of Arsenal FC has ruled himself out as a potential replacement for Luis Enrique at Barcelona.
Recall that on Wednesday night, at the post-match news conference, following their 6-1 win at home against Sporting Gijon, Luis Enrique announced his departure as Barcelona coach, citing the “need to rest”.
However, on Thursday, at the press conference, Wenger reaffirmed that he would prefer to continue at Arsenal when asked if he would like to take up Barcelona Job.
He said: “My preference has always been the same. I’m not looking for jobs in other clubs.”
When asked about big money moves to China, he refused to comment.
The Arsenal coach said: “This press conference is about the game at Liverpool, not what I did and didn’t turn down.”
On Mesut Ozil’s health status, he responded by saying: “I don’t know. We’ll see, he should be okay.”
