Former president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, maintains his stance on revealing the true account of what happened during the 2015 presidential election.

In his reaction to the book, "Against the Run of Play" that has kept som many tongues busy on its contents Jonathan issued the statement. The  book was written by Segun Adeniyi, Chairman of the editorial board of This Day newspapers.

The former president reacted via his offical Twitter handle, @GEJonathan, in a series of tweets on Saturday, April 29, 2017. He also did the same via his Facebook page.

Jonathan asserted the book as presented contains many distorted claims on the Presidential election held in 2015 by many of the respondents.

Recall that Jonathan in an exclusive interview with Segun Adeniyi claimed that local and international conspirators assisted President Muhammadu Buhari in winning the 2015 general election.

Jonathan believd that election result in some parts of the country was distorted to favour Buhari, specifically mentioned Kano State.

Still on the subject matter, in another twist, two prominent Ijaw groups, including relders from the region have told the former president to casting the blame of his defeat in the 2015 presidential election on the Northern part of the country.

The Ijaw youths and leaders on Friday, April, 29, 2017 urged Jonathan to take responsibility for his defeat in the 2015 presidential election and come out clean on the issues that led to his removal from the office.

The Ijaw groups are Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide and the Ijaw National Congress (INC).
