President Muhammadu Buhari's Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, has promoted himself to the Acting President, after intentionally inserting the clause “National Coordinator” in the letter sent to the senate by President Buhari referring to the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, on Sunday.

According to Sahara Reporters, the motivd behind Kyari's action was to restrain the VP from interferring with his office and maintain the power and influence around his office, thus tagging the VP as Coordinator.

Tellforceblog also gathered that aside the VP Osinbajo, some Ministers like Babatunde Fashola, Lai Mohammed, Rotimi Amaechi, Hadi Sirika, Audu Ogbeh, Jumai Alhassan and Malami, were also made accessless to the President, according to a source.

The source said: ”Besides VP Osinbajo, Abba Kyari considers Ministers, such as Lai Mohammed, Babatunde Fashola, Rotimi Amaechi, Audu Ogbeh, Hadi Sirika, Malami, and Jumai Alhassan, as those he should cut off from the President."

Another source said: “He was so furious in January, when the President was away for 50 days, because all the Ministers whose access to Mr. President he had tried to curtail, started getting approvals and access with the Acting President, very promptly."

The Presidential sources further disclosed that, Kyari has already assumed the post as the Acting President, by moving some important documents out of reach for Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.

One source said “On more than one occasion, Kyari, put himself up to assignments that should have gone to a Minister, if the President and his Vice were not available."

The example of Chibok girs return was cited: “took it upon himself to go and receive the girls, without informing the Women Affairs Minister, Jumai Alhassan, whose Ministry is responsible for everything pertaining to the Chibok girls, in the Buhari administration”, said a presidential source.

According to an official source who was present at the reception of the girls, Kyari cut off the media team of the President, and also carried out official functions meant for the Vice President of the Nation, and other senior public holders funtions, such as Ministers.

It was also revealed that the Minister for Women Affairs and Information Ministers were simply present at the events after getting wind of the reception.
