Trump becomes the first president to snub White House Correspondents dinner
President Donald Trump
The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump will be the first president in 36 years to disregard  and absent himself from the annual White House Correspondents dinner.

The last time such happened was 1981, and the then president missed the dinner because he was just recovering a gunshot wound. Ronald Reagan missed the occassion in 1981 but never ignored the gathering, he called into the event through video feed to join them.

Donald Trump relationship with the media has continued to go sore and seems there is no ending at sight, since the president is not even ready to accomodate them.

Trump chose to attend a rally in Pennsylvania to mark his first 100 days in power rather than attending the dinner.

He also communicated his frustration with the media via his twitter handle;
"Mainstream (FAKE) media refuses to state our long list of achievements, including 28 legislative signings, strong borders & great optimism!".

President Robert Mugabe
President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe has said on Saturday that he would in no way impose his successor on Zimbabweans, that the party will choose whoever is viable.

He said if the ruling ZANU-PF party feels its time for him to retire, it would choose a new leader by holding an extraordinary congress.

Recall that the Zimbabwean leader turned 93 this week, he has been on the country's seat of power since independence from Britain in April 1980.

The oldest leader in the world, who is due to contest for re-election next year, claim the ruling party, ZANU-PF is yet to a capable candidate.

Some people have been reportedly requesting that the president should pick a successor before his retirement.

Mugabe said, “Others are saying ‘President, choose a successor before you retire.

“Is that not imposition, me imposing someone on the party, No, I don’t want that.

“This is an issue for the congress to choose, we can have an extraordinary congress if the president retires but you said I should be your candidate in the next election."

Mehriban and Ilham Aliyev
Azerbaijan's president, Ilham Aliyev, 55, on Tuesday picked his wife wife Mehriban, as the first vice president of the ex-Soviet nation who is the person next in line in the country’s power hierarchy.

The position was created after a constitutional referendum in September 2016. Mehriban now 52, previously a lawmaker, got married to her husband since age 19, a graduate from a medical university.

At the referendum, the introduction of two vice presidents was approved in the amended constitution and one of them is that of the first vice president.

The first vice president takes over the seat of power in the absence of the president. The duties of the first vice president was not specified but overseeing of the cabinet is expected to be one.

Aliyev's critics say the September referendum that also extended the presidential term from five to seven years effectively cemented a dynastic rule. In 2003, Aliyev succeeded his father, who had ruled

Azerbaijan first as the Communist Party boss and then as a post-Soviet president for the greater part of three decades.

Critics say that the September referendum which allowed extension of five to seven years rule has successfully paved way a dynastic rule. In 2003, Aliyev took over from his father who initially ruled Azerbaijan as a Communist Party Boss and later as a Post-Soviet president for almost three decades.

Many of the Zimbabwean have lived all their life knowing only one person as the President. For example, a man born in 1980 or 1981 is yet to witness another person as his president or any form of power transition.

President Robert Mugabe is the oldest national leader on this planet. He has been at the helm of affairs since April 18, 1980, Zimbabwe's independence day. He will be clocking 93 on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, with a planned celebration party scheduled for next Saturday.

Meanwhile, the wife of 92-year-old Zimbabwean President Mugabe claimed that the citizens still loves him and will cast their vote for her husband's corpse, even in his grave.

"One day when God decides that Mugabe dies, we will have his corpse appear as a candidate on the ballot paper. You will see people voting for Mugabe as a corpse. I am seriously telling you."

She added, "Just to show people how people love their president."

Sometimes I wonder if Americans really knows what they want. They would elect and still complain that we don’t want him. They said no to the travel ban verbally, yet you see majority still supporting it on poll.

United State President Donald Trump has tweeted out a Morning Consult/Politico poll that displays
majority of Americans still supporting his executive orders. Trump is still waiting for Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals’ ruling on his temporary travel ban policy.

The poll results indicates that 55 percent of the 2,070 respondents support both revoking federal funding to sanctuary cities and the same percentage are for the ban that locked out immigrants for seven Muslim-majority countries.

Though, 33 percent disapproved of the sanctuary cities de-funding but 38 percent disapproved of the immigration ban.

President Trump’s campaign on building a border wall to stop illegal Mexican immigrants from entering the United States, received 48 percent approval.

Gallup’s most recent outcomes which was taken between Jan. 30 and Feb. 5 indicates that only 43 percent of Americans approve of the work Trump’s done and his highest mark has only been 46 percent, three days after his inauguration last month.

On Wednesday, Trump spoke at a law enforcement conference in Washington and applauded the immigration ban, claiming it makes Americans safer.

He stated, “It’s sad, I think it’s a sad day. I think our security is at risk today. And it will be at risk until such time as we are entitled and get what we are entitled to as citizens of this country,” Trump said. “It was done for the security of our nation. The security of our citizens. So that people come in who aren’t going to do us harm. And that’s why it was done. And it couldn’t have been written any more precisely. It’s not like, ‘Oh gee, we wish it were written better.’ It’s written beautifully.”
