Senator Dino Melaye is currently embroiled in controversy surrounding his educational history following a report by Sahara Reporters that he did not graduate from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria as he proclaimed.

Dino Melaye's certificate controversy has how brew up another controversial certificate issue involving President Buhari and WAEC result.

Melaye’s issue has been a trending one in Nigeria since last week, even though the senator representing Kogi west senatorial district insists the report is false.

Already, the management of ABU has announced that it would issue a statement to ascertain Senator Dino Melaye’s claim of being a graduate of geography from the university.

In the meantime, while waiting for ABU's confirmation, some Nigerians have channelled their attention on President Muhammadu Buhari, who is also in similar case, which is ‘missing certificate scandal’.

Recall that before the 2015 general elections, the media reports claimed that Muhammadu Buhari did not possess a valid WAEC certificate.
